Happy Birthday Burke!

Burke had his 1st birthday last week and it was a lot of fun! I made him a baseball cap cake. Using the blue frosting may not have been my smartest plan- we had blue frosting all over the place by the time he was done digging into his cake! It was fun to watch him attempt to open presents before the older kids jumped in to "help" :) and it was awesome to watch him get all messy with his cake. Love that tradition! So here are some pics:

 Baseball cap cake

 Handsome boy!

Dezi with her princess

 Loving his new frog

Not sure what to think about the cake

Thought this face was pretty funny

Love this face

Can't beat that grin!

Time to let everyone else join in

Still goin' strong

Loving Jayci's face here. Lol.

Auditioning for the blue man group

Not loving the idea of using a fork any more I guess...

Well, that's about it. Hope you enjoyed the pics!

I was just looking at the pictures I posted and realized that Burke wasn't really smiling in any of  them, so here are some pictures of his adorable smile:
Dezi turned 4 recently and requested an Aurora castle cake. Here's what I came up with: (I was pretty happy with the results! :))
 Daddy and Emmett Snuggling:
Dezi got an Elsa dress (from the movie Frozen) for her birthday. Here's our princess:
Since Dezi had an Elsa dress Jayci worked hard and saved up some money to buy the Anna dress. Here's our other princess:
While I'm usually not a big fan of the snow, we had a huge snowstorm and it closed all the schools including Jason's, so he got to say home for 2 days straight! It was AWESOME! So here's our family getting ready to play in the snow:

We had a blast on his mini-break. Lots of good memories made. I was glad I went outside to play with the kids and make those memories with them. I've learned that hot chocolate can always be made later ;) but it's most important to get out and make memories with your kids while you can.

Christmas at the Hansen's House

Hey! I'm posting every day pictures! This was our Christmas in a nutshell. We had fun visiting Santa, playing in the snow, and opening up presents. I love my darling family!

It's been a while...

I'm not sure if anyone actually looks at this any more because I never update it, but just in case- I'm going to post some pictures. I seem to have made it a habit to only post pictures when we get family pictures taken. So, let's continue on in grand tradition. :) (Oh, and while I had these all upright when I uploaded them, it turned them all sideways and I'm not computer savvy enough to fix it, sorry!)

As for a quick update on life: Jason will be done with school in 5 months and then we're off to Oregon. I can hardly believe we're that close to being done with school forever! Hooray! The kids are growing fast and amaze me every day with something new and fun. I'm just chuggin' along trying to keep up with everything and everyone! :) Overall, life is good and we're all happy! Maybe next time I post it will just be every day pictures. It's possible... I guess we'll see.
