Mom's Big Helper!

I was making dinner and Jayci wanted to help. Since standing by the stove didn't seem like such a smart idea, I decided to let her do the dishes instead! I filled up a bowl with soapy water and gave her a couple of her own bowls to "wash". She ended up giving herself a mini-bath- you can see the soap bubbles in her hair! :)

1st Haircut

Here are the "before and after" pics... I probably shouldn't have cut her bangs, but they kept getting in her eyes all the time! She wasn't too excited about the scissors and kept moving her head away from them, so I was terrified of hurting her and ended up cutting her bangs WAY too short and a little uneven... Oops! Good thing hair grows right? I also discovered if I tease them a little bit and feather them they look better- so that's a plus! And in my opinion- she's still as cute and sweet as ever, so I guess it's all good! :)

More pics from our trip!

Here are the pics from the Hansen side... Jayci w/ Jase's parents reading and snuggling and then with 2 of her uncles doing the same. Sorry Josh- she'll warm up to you eventually! :) And we took a little family picture as well- thought it would be fun to add that in.

Headin' Out West!

I got to go visit my family in Utah during Jase's Thanksgiving break. I left a little early and spent a few days with them and then Jase flew in to Idaho and I took a shuttle up there to meet up with him and his family to finish out the holiday. We had so much fun and it was wonderful for Jayci to see all her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins!
So here are some super cute pictures of my parents with Jayci singing songs, reading books, and just snuggling!

Cute Jayci

One of the projects for our last Super Saturday in Relief Society was making fun hair decorations with ribbons and flowers. I was so excited about the ones I made I had to take pics of them! :)

Curly Hair

It's incredible how much hair Jayci has now! The other day I decided to curl it all up- I couldn't believe how grown up it made her look!

Decorating

Over fall break we were also able to put up curtains and our family picture/pics of our wedding/pics of Jayci up on the wall! Interesting fact- our curtains match our pillows almost exactly. Score for us!

Halloween is on its way!

Here's Jayci in her butterfly costume! If I keep up with my blogging, I'm sure there will be several more pics like this to come in the near future!

Jason recently had a fall break. (YAY!!!!) It was a well deserved vaca after 2 weeks of tests. Not fun... But for our break we went to a place called Vala's Pumpkin Patch. They had all sorts of fun fall family activities. Jayci loved the little go-carts that you pedal. They had a family one where the parents pedal in the back and 2 kids can sit in front. Jayci just sat on my lap and I think she laughed the entire time we were on the track! She was sad to get off... Picture wise- I thought my dad would appreciate the car coming out of the barn- and it's the best picture we got at Vala's! There's a really picturesque bridge, the one that she and Jase are walking across holding hands. I thought that was too cute! Then there's me with Jayci at the corn maze. Yeah, we won't lie- we got lost a few times, but it was fun! And the last one is of me with my new hair cut. Prepare to be amazed- Jason cut it for me! I absolutely love it- it's a lot of fun to have a change, and it's so much easier to style! We had a great break- I was just sad it had to end.... :)

Photo Shoot!

I tried to take some "official" pictures of Jayci, but they didn't really turn out looking official... However, Jayci still looks cute and that's what matters! Also, I put in a picture of her getting whip cream from dad- she's up on her tippy toes which delights me cause I have walked on my tippy toes since I was a baby! She looks like her dad (and loves whip cream just like him), but she's still got some of her mom in her! :)

More fun pictures

These pics have a little bit of background... The one of me and her is by the bookshelf- she LOVES to read. She'll pull me over to the books and say "Read... Peese!" Next, Jayci really likes to sit on the little ledge of our kitchen cart so I had to get that on film- she just sits there and kicks her legs and holds the sides. It's funny. She also loves pillows- she'll pull them off our couch and throw herself into them or just lay on them when she's tired. We recently bought her a new snowsuit and I thought she looked a bit like a puffed marshmallow, I had to take a pic! And The one of her in the cute outfit with the cheeser grin? I wanted to get a good pic of her in that little skirt, so I said, "Jayci- smile at me!" and that's the look she gave me! It cracked me up!

Presents

The hat and the stroller were just a couple of birthday presents... We celebrated her first birthday for real on the 13th and she was able to open even more presents! She was pretty excited about that... And the one of her on the suitcase was taken when we got back from our trip- she was happy to be out of the car!!!

Happy Jayci!

These are just some happy smiley pics of Jayci... Some I took because of her hair, others because of her outfit, but mostly I took them because she's too dang cute! This is how she always is- it's great!

Trip to Kansas City

We took a little vacation to Kansas city to watch a Royals baseball game. Jayci got a certificate saying she's officially a Royal's fan since it was her 1st time to the stadium. It was great. We went a second time, went to another game, and this time we hit a couple church sites before heading back home. It was really neat.

Happy (early) Birthday Jayci!!

We were able to come back out west for Janessa's wedding. It was a wonderful and beautiful day. After out visit with the Hansen fam, we celebrated Jayci's 1st b-day a little early at the Page fam's house. It was a lot of fun. She tore apart the princess cake I decorated- with much help from my sisters!- and had some fun with the wrapping paper. We gave her a baby doll in preparation for baby #2 come January! She loves it! The picture of her with the ice cream sandwich all over her face was taken at the Hansen's- she's just too cute!
